President - Rob Clyburn Hi Everyone. I am the President for the Beachcombers and it is an honor to serve with the entire board! I have been a member off and on since 1997 when my brother John bought a new red C5. We enjoyed that car so much and made many new friends in the Club. We share the enjoyment with our C6 and love doing all of the fun things with the club.
I have always been a car nut, starting with a 69 SS Camaro, two Z28s and too many others to even mention. I am looking forward to working with everyone and making new friends. I enjoy the racing, the car shows, the trips, and food experiences with the club members. Let me just say that when you participate in the club activities, you will have fun. The love of the cars brings us together, but it's the friendships that really make life so interesting. Please let me know if I can do anything to make our club better. I urge you to come out to the events, tell us your name and let us all help you get the most out of the Corvette experience!
Vice President - Event/Activities - Keith Reitnouer There is nothing like getting "it" out of the garage and ripping down the road. That is what Diane and I experienced from the first day we brought home our Atomic Orange C6. Now, we eagerly anticipate every trip and gladly leave the SUV at home. While not long time corvette owners, we have become corvette enthusiasts and enjoy every event the club participates in. Parades, shows, cruise-in's, local and distant trips, large groups or small, the excitement driving a Corvette coupled with the camaraderie of other club members cannot be beat.
As Vice President of Events, I look forward to planning and communicating events for the coming year and solicit inputs from our members. What events excite you? What would you like us to plan for? Please let me know your interests, ideas and destinations so we can plan a full year with something for everyone. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on the road.
Vice President - Membership/NCCC Governor - Ford McCormack Hi! As the VP for Membership, I'm probably one of the first Beachcombers you'll hear from if you're considering joining our great club. I've been a car guy for a long time but only got into Corvettes and a Corvette club a couple of years ago when my wife and I bought a 2000 Sebring Silver coupe and joined the Beachcombers. We enjoyed the car and the club so much that, about a year later, we decided to upgrade to a new 2008 coupe in Crystal Red. We also decided that we wanted to take the opportunity to do the Corvette Museum delivery, which turned out to be a fascinating experience, too.
The Beachcombers is a very active club, enjoying cruises, cruise-ins, dinners, parties and in general good times, good food and good company. So come along and join us! We'll be off to the mountains or the seashore or just a pleasant drive around the local area or maybe just get together for chili or wine tasting. Or better yet, a creative combination of all the above! It's all about enjoying our wonderful cars, the beauty of the eastern United States and the many good friends we make along the way.
Secretary - Judy Tegeler Greetings from the BCC! I am Judy Tegeler and I represent this wonderful club as their Board Secretary. I am looking forward to the challenge that comes with volunteer work, and live by the concept of "Pay it Forward! " My involvment with Corvettes began in the early 1960's when one of my cousins received a Corvette as a graduation present. A few years later, her sister received one also. Ever since, I have been hooked! My father eventually started me collecting die-cast models - remember the Tootsie Toys? Between my home and office, I have close to 300 Corvettes ranging from the typical tiny Hot Wheels, still in the case, to a 18" gray & pink Barbie Corvette. Collecting has become a sweet obsession.
For my 21st Birthday I purchased my first Vette - a 1969 manual 427, Fire Engine Red with red interior. She stayed with me for only 5-years. Later, as a wedding gift, my (ex) husband presented me with a 1978 automatic, Cream with chocolate interior. She stayed with me until I purchased my latest pride and joy in 2004 - a 1990 Turquoise Metallic Convertible/Hardtop. She's the best one yet! Do I have plans to purchase another model - ABSOLUTELY! It's more than an obsession, it's A Passion!
Treasurer - Joe Pine Hello Beachcombers! I am very pleased to have been selected to serve as your Treasurer. I have been a car net since I was a kid. I built my first "muscle car" out of a 1966 Ford Fairlane (I know a Ford-but it was FAST). I have built and raced six others since then. I have always wanted a Vette, since I drove my first one in 1967, but just couldn't seem to convince myself that it was the right time.
In October I found the right car at the right price and my wife, Lynne, and I have thoroughly enjoyed the ride ever since. I joined the Beachcombers soon after and have met some of the greatest automobile enthusiasts ever. It is my pleasure to be around and to be associated with such fine folks. I look forward to the events and outings and getting to know each and every one of you. Corvettes are not just cars...they are a lifestyle! |
